Providing all of our children with meaningful opportunities to create, explore, and engage with the arts is central to our mission to educate the whole child.

Students at all levels enjoy regular art classes — weekly for students in Children’s House and Elementary (Pre-K through 6th grade) and as one of several rotating weekly “special” for students in the Adolescent Community (7th-8th grade) — as well as additional opportunities through Open Studio.

Classroom guides incorporate the arts into instruction through projects, curricular extensions, and additional opportunities to create with a variety of media.

Baltimore Montessori Public employs a full-time Arts Integration Specialist to support meaningful integration of the arts across the curriculum for the Elementary (1st-6th grade) and Adolescent Community (7th-8th grade) levels, as well as a part-time Art Guide to provide additional art instruction for Children’s House (Pre-K3 through Kindergarten) students and lead activities during Kids Club and as an after school club.

Productive partnerships with local artists and organizations, including the Charm City Craft Mafia, Center Stage, and MICA, as well as our location in the heart of Baltimore’s Station North Arts and Entertainment District further broaden our students’ access to the arts.
