ARTS INTEGRATION

Providing all of our children with meaningful opportunities to create, explore, and engage with the arts is central to our mission to educate the whole child.

Students at all levels enjoy regular art classes — weekly Visual Arts and Theater Arts for students in Children’s House, weekly Theater Arts in Elementary, and Visual and Theater Arts in the Adolescent Community. Students in 3rd through 5th grade enjoy Culinary Arts through our Seed to Table program. Students also access additional opportunities through Open Studio.

Classroom guides incorporate the arts into instruction through projects, curricular extensions, and additional opportunities to create with a variety of media.

Art and Theater are also available as after school clubs and activities.

Productive partnerships with local artists and organizations, including Center Stage and MICA, as well as our location in the heart of Baltimore’s Station North Arts and Entertainment District further broaden our students’ access to the arts. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more about the arts at Baltimore Montessori Public or to explore a partnership to support our program.
